The European Trauma Course Organisation (ETCO) is committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy of our partners, faculty, candidates and visitors. This privacy statement explains what happens to any personal data that you may provide to us, or that we collect from you.
Information that we collect
We do not routinely collect any data from visitors using the ETCO website unless they provide such data via the ‘Contact Us’ function. We may collect and process the following data about you:

What we do with your data
All personal information held by the ETCO will be held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016.
The ETCO collects data during candidate application and registration and through subscription to activities, resources, services, and training.
Why we need to collect and use your data
The ETCO holds information about members and other service users in order to provide benefits, educational products, and research services. Information is also retained for monitoring, training, research and statistical analysis, to verify qualifications and to prevent fraudulent activity.

Who we share your data with outside the ETCO
The ETCO shares information within the organisation and with appropriate third parties* in order to provide, manage and monitor training, records and services in line with the ETCO aims. The ETCO will never sell information about service users to third parties.
*Non-exclusive list: European Resus Council (ERC); CoSy, UniWeb, education, CPD and training programmes in higher education and employment providers.
How we protect your data outside the territories covered by the GDPR
All data obtained from outside the EU is covered by this policy and will adhere to GDPR requirements.
How long we keep your data and why
The ETCO collects and holds data on candidates and other service users in a range of systems, each with their own retention requirements in line with ETCO operational practice. Further information is available from admin@etco.team
Your rights
You have the right to access all information which identifies you as a living person, held on ETCO systems. You have the right to a copy of your data in a standard format, where technically possible. You also have the right to rectify factual errors in current ETCO systems and processes. The above rights apply across all work areas in the ETCO.
